2024- We are 5 Years Old!
Our classes are divided into different age groups to tailor the learning to different stages of the child's development
0-18 months
Between 0 to 18 months of age, a baby taking part in our class explores their senses. They begin to link their emotions to sounds of music and develop gross motor skills while learning to move an egg shaker and other simple instruments. They start developing their language, memory and music skills through listening and joining in during the singing of simple nursery rhymes.
18 months-36 months
Between 18 to 36 months age, a toddler taking part in our class starts to develop finer motor skills and stronger emotional links to music. By learning to play simple rhythms and exploring sounds along role play and a story line, they begin to develop their imaginative and creative self.
36 months-5 years
Between 36 months up to 5 years of age a child taking part in our class starts learning more complex rhythms and melodies using various simple rhythmic instruments while developing a stronger sense of what music is. They will also be introduced to new musical instruments such as piano, guitar and voice and basic music terms and note values in a fun and interactive way and to prepare the children for instrumental lessons in the future.
Sustainable Recourses
At Ascot Music School we are passionate about not only being a sustainable business, but also sharing sustainable practices with out students. The resources used in all our classes are as much as possible homemade, using recycled materials or common objects from everyday life. This creates an awareness of sustainability amongst children, provides them with resources they can easily find in their own home inspiring endless possibilities to play.
Testimonials
My girls (2.5yo) absolutely loved the music class. I enjoyed the fact that we didn't need any special equipment but it was all made up from home items. Ines was amazing at connecting with the children via Zoom, we had no troubles at following instructions and they were very keen to do all the actions, at times it felt like a mini workout :D. My children love to dance and play music and this class is going to be great for their development since they don't go to nursery atm. Can't wait to get started in September. Mrs AC
